Armed with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Chapman University where she graduated magna cum laude with honors she returned to her home of Upland, CA where she gives private voice lessons and became the vocal coach for the high school and chorus teacher for all of the elementary schools and Pioneer junior high. She served as a musical director and drama instructor for children’s theater and while working on post-baccalaureate work at CSU, Fullerton, participated in the Opera program and worked as assistant musical director for the music and theater’s joint production of Candide. She herself has studied voice privately with many well known instructors. She has participated in many musical theater and opera productions, been involved in jazz groups and performed much solo work at various venues. Currently, she teaches private and group voice and piano lessons at Applied Music Studio in Los Alamitos, and teaches both music theory and beginning voice at Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana. |
