Coleen began dancing at age 5 and has been teaching for the past 28yrs. She has owned and operated her own dance studio since 1985. Prior to opening her own studio, she spent 7 years as the assistant director for the Norco Civic Performing Arts Theater. She then became the dance coordinator for the city of Walnut Parks and Recreation. She is currently the director of the Via Verde Dance Center in San Dimas, Ca where she has been since 1997. She actively teaches classes in Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Theatrical Production, Children's Specialty and Children's Theater. She has produced and choreographed live stage productions every year since 1985 and has choreographed for acting workshops for kids and teens at Citrus College. In addition she performed in and choreographed numerous musical theater productions in college, community, and professional theaters since 1982. Recently a former student spent 3 years on Broadway as the lead in Jersey Boy while another just spent last year as a professional ballerina with the Atlanta Ballet! |
