Performing her entire life Raylene has done it all from singing and acting to building and painting sets and cleaning the rest rooms! She also spent 2 years learning the business side of Hollywood working in casting and production for Film and TV. She was lucky to have been part of the first show done in the once new location of Covina Valley Playhouse in 1992 when she proudly played Yenta in Fiddler on the Roof. She remained active there for several years then wanting to expand her dramatic knowledge joined the Journeyman theatrical company in LA where she spent 6 years under the guidance of Stella Adler protégé Joshua Ravetch. There she found a true love of classic playwrights such as Anton Chekov, Arthur Miller and Clifford Odets.  She was trilled to return to Covina Center for the Performing of the Arts when it re-opened in 2008 serving as Box Office/Lobby Manager where she was able to put her two loves together, theater and organization! In spring of 2009 she accepted the challenge to join her long time friend and theater buddy Jill Gerber in growing our education program and now serves with her as the Director of Operations. Besides the theater she also spent more than 25 years as a retail general manager specializing in operations and merchandising and is co-owner of Quilters Haven LLC a retail/wholesale quilting supply company since 1983.
