Learn the fundamentals of Acting, Dance and Voice from industry professionals! The YPI is part of the educational wing of the Covina Center for the Performing Arts. With programs and curriculum designed for students of all talent levels ages 8-21.

EDUCATIONAL MISSION STATEMENT

Covina Center for the Performing Arts Education Department is committed to bringing the highest level of theatrical education to the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding communities. Dedicated to promoting the performing arts, CCPA Education strives to be a positive influence on our next generation of performers, designers and arts administrators, as well as theater enthusiasts and future patrons.

The CCPA Education Department is home to the Young Performers Institute and Adult Theatrical Education. The classes offered give participants instruction in Acting, Singing and Dance. In addition we give young people the opportunity to participate in our Technical Internship Program which gives training in Set Design and Construction, Lighting and Sound Design, Stage Management, Props, Costumes, House Management and more.

CCPA Education is looking for sponsors to assist in several areas such as our Scholarship fund which provides tuition assistance to those needing financial assistance in order to participate. We also have donor programs which assist with our daily operation by pledging assistance for our building utilities, rent and maintenance.
