Covina Center for the Performing Arts is committed to bringing the highest level of theatrical education to the children of the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas. Through the highest level of performance-based instruction, free or low cost performances, unique backstage tours, internships /apprenticeships, and support for classroom teachers, Covina Center for the Performing Arts is dedicated to promoting the performing arts and to being a positive, active influence in creating our next generation of performers, designers, and arts administrators, as well theatre enthusiasts and future patrons.

A DAY AT THE THEATRE Bring your school, class, Girl Scout, Boy Scout, or student group to the Covina Center for the Performing Arts for a highly interactive and informative field trip about our facilities and the history of theatre.

THE CHAMPION FINE ARTS ACADEMY The Champion Fine Arts Academy was created with one goal in mind, to provide the highest level of professional training to young performers. Under the instruction of StageARTS Repertory Associate Artistic Director Jill Gerber, this Academy is aimed to provide young performer’s with intense and focused training to prepare them for collegiate level programs and/or entrance into the professional performing world.

DR. FOREST AND MARIAM TENNANT ARTS EDUCATOR-OF-THE-YEAR AWARD
The Covina Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to give an annual award for classroom excellence to a deserving and inspiring arts educator. This award will include a $1,000 donation for his/her program/classroom’s visual and performing arts enrichment, recognition on a plaque at CCPA, and a personal plaque of recognition. All nominees for the Dr. Forest and Mariam Tennant Arts Educator-of-the-Year Award will be honored with a certificate of appreciation and two 2009 Season Tickets for
CCPA /StageARTS Repertory productions.
This award is named after long-time supporters and friends of the Covina Valley Playhouse, the Champion Family Foundation, and now the Covina Center for the Performing Arts, Dr. Forest and Mariam Tennant.

The Covina Center for the Performing Arts is dedicated to providing theatrical training of the highest level to all the young artists of the greater San Gabriel Valley. MASTER CLASS AT THE CENTER
The Master Class at the Center will bring top industry professionals out to Covina Center for the Performing Arts for special classes for students and/or adult performers. Providing unique insights, high levels of professional knowledge, and world-class skills, The Master Class at the Center will enable students and performers to develop confidence and skills for achievement of their career goals. Look for some of the largest names in the Los Angeles theatre scene to be at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts in the VERY NEAR FUTURE!

OPEN DOOR PERFORMANCES Bring a group of students or performers to the theatre for FREE! Open Door Performances at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts are the perfect opportunity to bring students and introduce them to the power of live theatre!

TEACHER APPRECIATION SERIES In conjunction with our Open Door Performances Series, a selected number of tickets will be offered specifically to local-area teachers for ONLY $10 per ticket (regularly $34, limit 2 per order). These tickets are STRICTLY LIMITED to 30 seats per performance and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Verification of employment may be required.
