The Covina Center for the Performing Arts will be committed to the professional training of early-career fine arts professionals in production and administration.  The Educational Internship program provides hands-on experiences to those wanting to learn about the inner workings of a professional theatre from every angle.  Participants work in production and/or administration areas while CCPA staff and StageARTS Repertory artists function as mentors, guiding and instructing interns as they make the transition from student to professional.

Through regular assignments and duties with a given department, professional development activities, volunteer opportunities, and free tickets to productions, internship participants are offered the chance to learn from resident professionals at CCPA.

The goals of the Educational Internship program are to:
  1. Provide formalized and comprehensive training in arts production and administration.
  2. Prepare each participant to become a leader in her/his profession.
  3. Foster mentor/mentee relationships between staff members and program participants.
  4. Promote a 'culture of learning' within the Covina Center for the Performing Arts

The Educational Internship program actively will seek young professionals who are looking to bridge the gap between their education and the professional art world. They will work closely with our staff to learn about the workings of their department, and throughout their time here will gain skills and understandings to become the best candidates being introduced to the field.
