The proud heritage of the old Covina Theater lives on, not only in the all new CCPA, but also in a one-of-a-kind piece of art created from hundreds of bricks salvaged from the preconstruction demolition. The artwork, installed last December, is a stunning, 10 foot tall focal point in the kitchen of John and Smokey Sutherland's La Jolla home. The Sutherlands are longtime friends of Chris and Retha Champion and supporters of CCPA. It is fitting that these pieces of theater history have found a new life as art in the home of true theater-lovers.
