AUDITION INFORMATION:

Union and Non-union auditions 6:00 pm
**Come prepared to sing 32 bars of a Sondheim song. Accompanist
provided.
**Dance Requirement: Minimal/standard musical staging/some dance
optional.
**All roles require the ability to sight read and sing parts.
CALLBACKS, at director's request, will be on Sunday, February 12
at 7:00 pm. Some stipends available. Union falls under 99-seat agreement.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Franklin Shepard: Age range 25-45. Tenor. An
idealistic student who becomes a successful composer and then an even more successful Hollywood
executive. So successful, that he no longer has time to write music even for his own films. Prefer
if actor is proficient in playing the piano.
Charley Kringas: Age range 25-45. Tenor. Frank's
best friend and his lyricist, when Frank isn't tied up acquiring rights and wiring the Coast, that
is.
Mary Flynn: Age range 25-45. Mezzo. A writer and
drama critic; also Frank's good pal although Mary wishes it was a little more than
that.
Joe Josephson: Age range 30-50. Baritone. The
producer of Frank and Charley's Broadway shows, even though he only likes tunes that go
"bum-bum-bum-didum".
Beth Spencer: Age range 21-30. Mezzo. A singer in
Frank and Charley's nightclub act and subsequently Frank's first wife.
Gussie Carnegie: Already cast.
Meg: Age range 20-29. An actress in Frank's latest
movies and his new mistress.
Roles for ensemble of 12:
K.T. Lewis: Age range 30-45. A TV journalist who
asks Frank and Charley the old question, "How do you two work together?" and gets a livelier answer
than she ever expected.
Jerome: Age range 30-50. Lawyer.
RU Aspiring Screenwriter: Age range
21-35
Alex: Age range 30-40
Mr. Spencer: Age ranger 45-55
Mrs. Spencer: Age range 45-55
Frank, Jr: Already cast.
Various other cameo roles:
