Covina Center
for the Performing Arts is seeking qualified applicants for Theatre Technicians for all related
live theatrical productions including sound, lighting, carpentry, and backstage crews for the
2012 Season. The Covina Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art 99-seat Equity
Waiver venue located downtown in the City of Covina. The Center presents a full season of
professional and community theatre plus concerts and special events. The positions require
working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Under the direct supervision of the Technical
Coordinator, the positions serve as crew for productions in such capacities as lighting, audio,
video, rigging and carpentry operations, show and event operation and strike.
Successful candidates must be at least 18
years of age with the equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade and have a good knowledge of
theatrical production systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting of problems as they
occur. Individuals must be comfortable working within a team environment.
